A fantastic school district located in Romeoville, IL is seeking a full-time School Social Worker to join the team. In this role, you will provide essential support and services to students, helping to foster academic achievement and personal growth. You will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure each student receives the appropriate care and instruction.
Responsibilities:

Provide direct support and services to students based on individual needs and IEP goals

Conduct assessments and provide counseling to support students emotional, social, and behavioral development

Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student development
-
Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans and provide crisis intervention as needed

Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines

Participate in IEP meetings and provide insight into student performance and social-emotional needs

Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications:

Must hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker Endorsement

Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program

Experience working with students in educational settings preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, behavior intervention strategies, and special education compliance
